Majority government confirmed, climate grade moved down to D, new public-approval signal at the top, and a readability pass across the dashboard.

[Grade change] Climate & Environment: D+ → D (−1 notch). Canada is tracking for about half of its required 2030 emissions reduction. Industrial carbon credits are trading near $20/t despite a $95 headline. ECCC is losing 840+ positions. The PM has acknowledged targets will be missed.

[Policy event] Majority government confirmed. Carney's Liberals won 3 Toronto/Quebec byelections on April 13, 2026, reaching 174 seats and securing a majority in the House of Commons.

[Policy event] Federal gas tax suspension announced. Federal fuel excise suspended April 20 through September 7, 2026. Estimated $2.4B in foregone revenue over the window.

[Product update] Approval Signal added to the top of the dashboard. 60-day rolling average of approve/disapprove across five included pollsters (Léger, Abacus, Ipsos, Angus Reid Institute, Innovative Research). Tracked beside the grades but explicitly not one of them — popularity is not performance.

[Minor update] Readability pass on the dashboard. Plainer card labels, shorter status lines, a new "Limits of this model" note in the Rubric tab, a per-dimension "Last reviewed" line, and an across-the-board font-size bump for mobile.
